The Costa del Sol is one of the most important tourist zones in Spain. Each year it is visited by more than ten million tourists that come from all over the world attracted by the privileged climate with more than three hundred days of sun a year, dream beaches, an exquisite gastronomy and a broad historical and cultural heritage.
The Mediterranean Sea surrounds the Costa del Sol, as well as fourteen large municipalities of the Andalusian coast. Because of this, the area has a broad spectrum of touristic offers for everyone: from families with children, nature or shopping lovers, to young people who wish to relax and have fun, tourists who love to sunbathe, be on the beach, play golf or taste the delicious gastronomy.
Its capital is Málaga, very popular because of its beaches, historical and artistic monuments and for being the city where Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born. Other beautiful and charismatic towns of the coast are Benalmádena and Mijas, as well as the luxurious and exclusive Marbella.
